Company Profile Dutch Flight Academy
For over ten years future commercial pilots are trained at the Dutch Flight Academy (DFA). Our academy is an approved Flight Training Organization that offers a high quality integrated ATP-course.
The Academy is unique in several ways;
1. Both theory and flight training are given in parallel. This provides the student with the advantage to better understand the theory as it is directly used in practical lessons.
2. Compared to other flight schools the DFA offers the most multi engine training hours (65 hours actual flight training).
3. During the training, a lot of attention is paid to the attitude of the student, with focus on shaping and safety. Sufficient time for these aspects can be guaranteed due to small classes at the academy.

All flight training is conducted from Groningen Airport Eelde. From here flights are made throughout Europe (i.e. Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark, Norway). Because the practical part of the training takes place within Europe, the student becomes familiar with the European airspace and its weather conditions. During the course the student has the opportunity to visit over 50 different airports (see overview above)!
The DFA uses a fleet of Diamond DA42 Twin Stars for the IFR training, including an advanced simulator of the same type of aircraft. Just like aircraft used by major airlines, the DA42 is equipped with a glass cockpit and fully computerized systems. At the end of the IFR Training the student has more than 100 hours of multi-engine glass cockpit experience.

Furthermore, the DFA uses a Boeing 737-800 NG simulator, a state of the art simulator. The simulator is used for the MCC-course, the final stage of the ATP training program.
Due to its flat organization the Dutch Flight Academy can quickly respond to environmental changes.
The short communication lines give the academy a personal character, which is highly appreciated by the students.
